High Capacity Butterfly Control

The high performance valve delivers heavy duty, automatic throttling control. It incorporates the two basic features of the high performance butterfly valve types: A PTFE, RTFE or metal seal ring instead of a liner and double offset (eccentric operation). These features combine to provide a product with performance superior to conventional butterfly valves.

Selection Criteria

The Dresser Masoneilan High Performace Butterfly Valves provide accurate control of high capacity, moderate pressure drop services. The double offset design provides an approximate equal percentate flow characteristic and facilitates tight class VI shut-off, soft-seated construction or class IV with metal seals.

Key Features

The Dresser Masoneilan 39000 Series features a double offset disc design that moves the disk away from the seal ring as the valve opens. Consequently, friction and operating torque requirements are reduced. What's more, rugged guiding ensures reliable, long term shut-off and throttling accuracy. High Cv ratings provide high capacity capability at low pressure differentials, and flangeless (wafer) or single flange (lugged) body constructions are available to suite installation requirements. TFE, RTFE and flexible metal seals provide Class IV (metal) or Class VI (PTFE / RTFE) shut-off.
